Leisure and Sports

Burrell Foley Fischer has worked across a varied portfolio of projects in the leisure and sports sectors. These have ranged from leisure centres to hotels, from museums to golf clubs, and from the refurbishment of the ‘home of Snooker’, the Crucible in Sheffield, to the ‘home of Cricket’, Lord's Cricket Ground.

A particular speciality of the practice is designing in Equestrian Environments, which has included working with the Jockey Club and at some of the leading racecourses in the UK and overseas, including the ‘home of Horseracing’, Newmarket. In recent years we have immersed ourselves in the world of horseracing, including visiting a number of the world’s leading racecourses and developing the specialist knowledge base required to work in the sector and to design in an equestrian context.
