PARKHURST MEWS ISLINGTON

CLIENT: PRIVATE DEVELOPER

The project redevelops an existing site of around 900 sq m which is currently a concrete paved area accommodating 27 private garages to the rear of Parkhurst Court, a privately owned block of flats on Warlters Road, in north London. The proposal is to remove all but one of the garages and a parking bay, and to build a new mews made up of residential accommodation along the length of the site.

The development will consist of seven units: three 'L-shaped' courtyard houses, a pair of semi-detached houses, and two family houses bridging the entrance and the mews. All of the units will have gardens and ‘green roofs’ to enhance the existing landscaped gardens surrounding the site, and are to be built to ‘The Lifetime Homes’ standards and include sustainable features such as rainwater harvesting from the ‘green roofs’.
